FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS



Q. What is the name of the Governing Aviation authority in Canada?


A. Transport Canada (TC). Our Academy follows all the rules and regulations created and governed by TC.


Q. What Courses are offered?


A.Recreational Pilot Permit, Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Night Rating, Hour building.


Q. I don’t want to do any of these courses, but I want to do some flying for building hours; Do you offer this?


A. Yes, you can come and start flying for building hours. Standard rates will apply for the use of the aircraft.


Q. Is there any registration/ admission fee?


A. Our Registration/Admission fee is $150 CAD for Domestic students and $350 For International students. You will have to pay it before applying for a Visa and obtain a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from our Flight Academy for Visa processing. (This is a nonrefundable/nontransferable fee)


Q. Do you also provide jobs?


A. We can help our students in the future if they need any help with their career guidance. We do not offer employment.


Q. Will I have to pay more if I take extra ground classes than in the package?


A. If the student completes the full course for which they are enrolled in with AAA Aviation Flight Academy, we will waive/refund all the charges for any extra ground class received by the student. (Note: This loyalty waiver is applicable only for those students who complete their full course with us. Those students who do not complete the entire course from here and leave anytime mid-course will have to pay for every hour of extra ground classes as per the ground class hourly rates).


Q. Will I have to pay extra if my instructor gives extra ‘Ground briefings’ than in the course package?


A. If the student completes their full course from AAA Aviation Flight Academy for which they are enrolled; we will waive/refund all the charges for any extra ground briefing received by the student within 200 hours. If the student flies more than 200 hours and receives Ground Briefing for any flying done beyond 200 hours than the student will have to pay for the extra ground briefing received beyond 200 hrs. (Note: This loyalty waiver is applicable only for those students who complete their full course with us and is applicable only up to 200 hours. Those students who do not complete the entire course from here and leave anytime mid-course will have to pay for every hour of extra Ground Briefing as per the Ground Briefing hourly rates).


Q. Do I have to pay money before I get Visa?


A. Before getting the Visa you will have to pay the following:

1. Registration/Admission fee is $150 CAD for the domestic students and $350 CAD for international students. It has to be paid towards the Flight Academy to get the Letter Of Acceptance (LOA), which is required for Visa Processing.

2. Visa fee required by the Embassy for Visa application.

3. Lawyer/Consultant 's s fee if you hire their services for your Visa Application (Optional).

4. 1st Installment of $12000 CAD towards the Flight Academy for your course.

(Note: 1st Installment fee of $12000 CAD is refundable in full if Visa is denied)."

Q. Do I need to buy books and other Aviation stuff before I come to Canada?


A. We provide an aviation kit to our students for $1000 CAD (If Required). Some of the items included in the package are Headset, Uniform, Kneeboard, Maps, Chart, Books, etc., for their training till CPL.


Q. If I pay money for my course and then I have to leave midway through the course or before the start of the course will I get a refund?


A. We have a return policy. We will be happy to provide you with our refund policy for details. We have a transparent system and policies.


Q. What is the education qualification for me to enroll for Private Pilot License (PPL)?


A. The following are the requirements:

1. An applicant shall be a minimum of 17 of age.

2. An applicant shall hold a valid Category 3 or Category 1 Medical Certificate.

3. An applicant should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (12th Std) with minimum 50% marks total.


Q. What are the Education Qualification/ Requirement to enroll for Commercial Pilots Pilot License (CPL)?

2. An applicant shall hold a Private Pilot’s License (PPL).

3. An applicant shall hold a valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.


Q. How and where can I get Category 3 or Category 1 medical?


A. You can get the medicals done in India or Canada. We will provide you with the details of the medical examiners that are authorized to conduct the medical exams.


Q. What is the duration of the course?


A. PPL: 3-4.5 months. CPL: 8-12 Months including time for PPL.: (Note: The course duration may vary depending upon factors like student performance and weather conditions.)


Q. Do I have to appear for any written exams?


A. Yes, you will be taught by our instructors for the written exams for PPL, CPL. These exams are set by Transport Canada (TC) and are mandatory.


Q. Which Aircraft(s) type do you have? How many aircraft(s) do you have?


A. We currently have Cessna 172, and Cessna 152’s


Q. Why is your Course Price lower as compared to other flying schools?


A. Our Flight Academy has the vision to make it possible for more people to achieve their dreams. For this reason, we designed our course with our Senior Educational Administrator with 23 years of Aviation experience. We decided to cut our profit margins while providing the best quality training to our students. We want the students to feel comfortable so they can concentrate on the training without any financial pressure. Our Goal is to train the best Pilots rather than to achieve huge profits from the students.


Q. What about food and accommodation in Canada?


A. We have different options. Our accommodation includes kitchens so students can cook their food at home, or eat outside as per their needs. We are planning to provide a service to our students where they will be provided homemade Indian food delivered directly to their residence. We provide accommodation for our students starting from $250 to $1000 CAD per month according to the student’s choice of lifestyle and facilities they need. If the student wishes to arrange for their accommodation they can do so as per their choosing. The cost of living depends on according to personal needs of the individual, and these costs are not included in the course fee.
